Terms of Service

LAST UPDATED 25 AUGUST 2026

These terms govern Verdica Cloud, the hosted service. The open-source components are licensed separately under Apache-2.0 and are not covered by these terms.

What the service does

Verdica Cloud checks pull requests in the repositories you cover against the decision records kept in your repository, and reports what it finds as a check and a pull request comment. By default it warns and never blocks; a check only fails when your team has explicitly marked a decision as blocking.

What it is not

Verdica is an assistive review tool, not a guarantee. Its judgment layer uses a language model and can be wrong in both directions: it can miss a real contradiction, and it can flag a change that contradicts nothing. We publish our own measurements of this, including their weaknesses, in the public benchmark. You remain responsible for reviewing and merging your own code. The service is provided without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose.

Your responsibilities

Plans, billing and cancellation

Coverage is sold per repository. Paid plans purchased through the GitHub Marketplace are billed by GitHub under its own terms; cancellation and refunds follow GitHub's billing policy. Cancelling returns the installation to the free plan at the end of the paid period. The free plan is free with no time limit.

Availability

The service is offered as-is, without an uptime commitment. During early access it may be interrupted for maintenance. If a check does not run, your pull request is unaffected: nothing is blocked by the absence of a check.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including damages arising from a contradiction the service failed to detect.

Ending the relationship

You may uninstall the App at any time; your decision records stay in your repository and keep working with the open-source gate. We may suspend an installation that abuses the service or endangers its operation, with notice where possible.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law, with the courts of Messina, Italy, having jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
